Why "Mrs. Roper Romp"?

Inspired by the beloved character from Three's Company, Mrs. Roper, known for her warmth and compassion, this event embodies the spirit of community and togetherness. By participating, you’ll play a vital role in making a difference in the lives of families experiencing homelessness. The evening will be filled with laughter, delicious food, drinks, and unforgettable memories! Who’s ready to ROMP?

How does your sponsorship/ticket(s) support homeless families and children?

We achieve our mission by welcoming families in need into our Apartment Shelter Program, where they reside in a save and secure environment for up to 150 days while working towards self-sufficiency. During their stay, families benefit from intensive case management services tailored to their individual needs, financial literacy training, and access to short-term training opportunities provided by community partners, all aimed at enhancing job prospects and developing parenting skills, while amazing meals and or gift cards provided by our amazing congregational partners. Additionally, all essential necessities are covered by FPTC at no cost to families, allowing them to save the majority of their earning for future use.

Beyond the Apartment Shelter Program, FPTC offers one-time financial assistance though our Future Begins at Home prevention/diversion program. This initiative aims to keep families and children in their own homes, thereby preventing the need for shelter and mitigating the risk of homelessness. This approach is crucial in preventing or alleviating potential childhood trauma for the children we serve. By ensuring that children remain in their familiar environments, we help them avoid the distress associated with loosing everything they know. â€‹â€‹

Come and knock on our door, we are waiting for YOU!
